Certificate II Painting and Decorating

The Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway – Trades) – Painting and Decorating pre-apprenticeship provides hands-on training to prepare you for work in the painting trade.

You will develop core skills in surface preparation, paint application, workplace safety and interpreting plans, while learning how the trade operates on-site. The course includes structured work placement, giving you real industry experience and helping you build job-ready skills.

This course gives you the essential skills to enter the industry, including surface preparation, painting techniques, interpreting plans and working safely on-site.

You’ll learn through practical training that reflects real job conditions, building confidence with tools, materials and workplace processes.

On completion, you’ll be job-ready and well positioned to move into a painting apprenticeship and begin your trade career.
