Skill Hire Strengthens Leadership Team With Two Senior Appointments

In a move to reinforce its position as a leader in Western Australia’s training, employment and recruitment sector, Skill Hire has appointed two industry veterans to help accelerate its growth across the state.

The new hires align with the IntoWork Group’s strategy to deepen its impact in WA’s employment sector and come as Skill Hire prepares to merge with plumbing and painting apprenticeship specialist, NextGen Skills.

In addition, significant capital investment has been made to the Group’s Forrestfield, Joondalup, Welshpool and Bunbury sites to facilitate the expansion of services. These infrastructure upgrades are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Stan Liaros – Chair of Skill Hire and Nara

Stan brings more than three decades of leadership to his new role as Chair of the Skill Hire and Nara boards. Most recently, he spent 23 years as CEO of the Apprentice and Traineeship Company and sits on the board of the Construction Training Fund.

A well-known figure in WA’s business and community networks, Stan has been a consistent advocate for employment and training initiatives. His industry expertise and established relationships will prove valuable as Skill Hire pursues its growth objectives.

Nadene Carr – First Nations Engagement Manager

Building on Skill Hire’s strong record in creating opportunities for diverse communities, Nadene joins the team after nearly 10 years in her previous role as State Manager – WA with Maxima.

Nadene’s focus will be on developing pathways for First Nation apprentices, trainees and employees along with empowering host employers to grow as culturally-safe workspaces. Her appointment reflects Skill Hire’s commitment to advancing its diversity and inclusion targets over the coming year.
