You’ll learn how to operate elevated work platforms up to 11 metres, and work safely at heights. The course also includes completion of training for your White Card, which is a requirement to access construction sites.

This training is ideal for anyone wishing to enter the construction industry, including pre-apprentices, school leavers and mature age workers.

Entry requirements

All potential participants are interviewed by Skill Hire prior to being accepted into the program. Set intake periods and maximum class numbers apply to this course.

To be eligible for free training, you must have left school, have your primary place of residence in Western Australia, and are either:

An Australian citizen; or
A permanent visa holder
Unemployed; or
Under-employed (less than 20 hours per week)

Learner resources

All learning resources, materials and laptops required for training will be supplied by Skill Hire for use during the program.

Fee free training is available for this course, to help build WA’s skilled workforce.
