Skill Hire works closely with schools to offer a range of programs designed to help young people explore a skills-based career while still at school.

Try-A-Trade
Led and 100% funded by the Construction Training Fund, these great short programs offer students an opportunity to try a trade on for size. Participants enjoy a fun, interactive and hands-on program designed to give them an understanding of what a trade career might offer whilst they explore a possible specialty. Learn more

One Day Construction Program
Students can achieve CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) through Group School Bookings – learning the basic skills needed to work safely on a work site.

School based apprenticeships and traineeships
Start your apprenticeship or traineeship while still working towards finishing school. Also, learn more about school based scholarships.
