There are a number of things which people commonly think about Skill Hire, but not all of them are true! Let’s take a look through the most common misconceptions that face our company.

#1 Skill Hire is just a recruiter…

While yes, we are a recruitment company, we aren’t just a recruitment company! Skill Hire is a business with a number of varied business streams, from employment, training, apprenticeships, traineeships all the way through to delivering government services, we pride ourselves on being able to offer those from all walks of life the opportunity at finding gainful employment. Whether you are someone just graduating high school and wondering “what’s next?”, a skilled worker wanting to expand their horizons or someone seeking some extra work, our team works to suit your unique needs.

So next time you, or someone you know, needs anything employment or training related, Skill Hire is your solution.

#2 What is Group Training?

You would be forgiven for thinking that Group Training is exactly what the name suggests, training of large groups, but actually, Group Training is the technical description of facilitating Apprenticeships and Traineeships. Next time you see Group Training, remember to not think of quantity but instead think quality. Skill Hire prides itself in facilitating quality apprentices with real-world experience in a variety of industries.

The five most common misconceptions about Skill Hire

#3 Skill Hire is just your local office

As a company who prides itself on its ties with the community, our clients and candidates may think of us as just a local business, but in fact, with a large presence across WA, SA and Victoria, we are able to cater to the needs of businesses across the nation.

So next time your business needs a hand on a national scale, Skill Hire is the solution.

#4 As an RTO and GTO, If I send my apprentice to you, won’t you try and convince them to join Skill Hire instead?

Absolutely not! While we have a variety of business streams, naturally there exists a crossover between the offerings of each. Rest assured, that when you send an apprentice to receive training at one of our Registered Training Organisations, we are focused on providing the best training we can for them, we aren’t focused on competing for your apprentices!

Whether it be high risk training through Nara training, or leadership training through Business Leadership Centre, when you send us your apprentice for further training, you know that they will make their way back to you armed with industry relevant and accredited knowledge!

#5 Skill Hire is just for the construction industry.

Well if you think this, you aren’t wrong. However, did you know that we have experience in a number of different industries? Whether it’s retail employment, disability training, hospitality recruitment or anything else you can think of, chances are, Skill Hire can help provide your solution!

Skill Hire really helped me to see that I can accomplish something if I set my mind to it and I completed my course 2 months prior to the completion date. Cheers guys!

Skill Hire are helpful and professional. Nicola was attentive to all my needs. Their timesheets systems were a breeze and always update us with messages. Thanks Skill Hire

I just wanted to thank Skill Hire's EST Trainers. Nathan is the absolute best trainer I’ve ever had privilege to meet by a WIDE margin and I appreciate everything done for all of us. I’m ecstatic about the internship opportunity.

Not only did Skill Hire respond quickly to our urgent need, your team took the time to understand our organization and our needs. The people sent to help out were outstanding and their ability to rapidly adapt to our workplace eased our burden during what was a very challenging few months.

My son has thoroughly enjoyed the Construction Pathways course. He spent the last 18 months being home schooled and not socializing with anyone so to see him eager to get up and leave the house every day still blows my mind. Simon, thank you for your understanding and taking extra care with my son.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Skill Hire and the team, especially Wayne for such an amazing experience for our students. All of our students were thoroughly engaged with the course and learned many valuable skills.
